Had my first day of "work" for the season, a clinic day on the mountain. Still sick and feeling under the weather that day but the chance to break out the new board and give it a few war trials could not be passed up. The T6 slices through anything at all, what a perfect board. My fingertips still lack feeling and there's a weird pain in my hands but nothing worse than what this flu's doing to me. Je veux etre bon à nouveau! Merde n'est pas drôle.

J'ai été infecté

Well, pretty sure the culmination of the symptoms of my cold concludes that I have been infected with the (seasonal? hopefully) flu. As such, I stayed home with a sore throat, back and neck aches, congestion/runny nose, coughing, a headache, chills, and fatigue. Only things left to list, fever and vomiting/diarrhea and I'd have the full package!

On the upside, I got to sit around all day in sweats comfy and cozy watching Skins (for sure one of my top 5 television shows). And my new snowboard comes tomorrow. My first paycheck of the season, for a grand total of $7.30 after taxes, has me geared up for work to start. On-snow training clinic scheduled for this weekend, hopefully I feel up for it. Also, got to miss out on a day of English 101 with the teacher who, in my opinion, tries to live vicariously through the students and relive his glory days of the 60s (while the class supposedly teaches English composition, the class boils down to watching documentaries about the 60s, writing BS essays about the 60s, and "peer" reviewing said BS essays). I despise the old man, how any respectable English teacher can have no appreciation for writing in e prime escapes me. He also thinks I use a thesaurus while praising papers which have few random big words dispersed among elementary being verbs for their advanced vocabulary. While this argument would be valid had I misused the words in question, I didn't. All of the words he claimed I took from a thesaurus were used correctly and in a meaningful manner, not just thrown in for the sake of having them. Besides, I don't think there are many/any thesauruses with the words xenogamy or xiphoidic since they have their base in Greek. I believe he just dislikes the fact that I made him use a dictionary.

Bienvenue chez le KitAkira

Mon frère dit-moi faire un blog. Ainsi, c'est la. Mais, depuis je n'ont pas les classes de français sur trois ans, mon français est trés mal.

I think that makes sense? I've not an inkling as to what I'll be posting here nor who would ever read what comes from my head. There will, in all likelihood, be much talk of denim (maybe even documentation of some of my projects if I ever get around to buying a new [old] sewing machine), interesting design things I come across (such as: this gem by Mathieu Lehanneur or this by MMM) and if lucky, some WAYWTs thrown in to fill space. One of a million other similar blogs, still not entirely sure why I made this.
